What Is The Aura?
Have you ever sensed that someone was in a bad mood before they have spoken to you? Perhaps you felt a change in the stmosphere when someone who was intense or antagonistic sat next to you on the bus or train? If you are particularly sensitive you may have felt that they had invaded your 'personal space'. Maybe you have felt exhausted after being in contact with someone who is ill? If so, you are acutely sensitive to the energy field of others, but you need to develop the ability to see as well as feel the aura. What Is It? The Aura is a field of energy surrounding the human body. Which can be both seen and felt by those who have attuned to its higher vibrational frequency. It has seven layers, each one eminating from a specific chakra. The more sensitive you become, the more layers you will be able to see. The first layer is the etheric field which extends an inch or so around the body. It is the densesst level of energy and therefore the first level that you are likely to see when you begin your exploration. Exercise in Feeling The Auric Field Place your hands twelve inches apart with the palms facing each other and fingers outstreached. Now bring them together very slowly but don't let them touch. Pull them apart and bring them together repeatedly, as if you are shaping something soft and elastic like a balloon between your hands. You should be able to feel the subtle energy field from both hands pushing against one another. If you don't feel anything at first try making a small circle with one finger around your Third Eye chakra in the centre of your forehead. You should feel a tickling sensation as you stimulate the pineal gland and awaken your psychic senses. Then try bringing your hands together again as described above. Exercise in Seeing The First Layer of the Aura Breath deeply and steadily. When you feel suitably relaxed extend one hand with the palm downwards at a comfortable distance, as if you were readings a book or magazine. Ideally the lighting should be low and your hand placed in front of a plain background preferably white. For best results try resting your hand on a table that has been cleared of any objects that might distract you. Now soften your gaze until you are looking past your hand to the surface of the table or, it you are holding your hand in front of you, to a point in the middle distance. After a few minutes you should begin to see a fine outline of electric blue light surrounding your fingers. See if you can sustain this soft focus for a few minutes and then look at your other hand.
