We are all much more than the physical being we see in the mirror each morning.  Our bodies are vehicles for the divine spark of individual consciousness some call the soul which is animated and sustained by the Universal Life Force.

This vital force is known as 'chi' by the Chinese, 'Prana' by the Hindus and as 'bio-energy' by a growing number of enlightened scientists.  It is circulated around the body by seven wheel-like vortices known as the chakras and a network of veins known as meridians.  Which connect our etheric body to its physical conterpart.  Both the veins and the vortices are invisible to the naked eye, but they can be seen with the Third Eye of psychic sight and can be felt by simply attuning to the more subtle vibrations in the body.

The Importance of Balance

When our emotional balance is disturbed, or if we are under mental stress or sucumb to a physical infection, the chakras can become destabilized, disrupting the freeflow of the life force and causing the body to manifest symptoms of 'dis-ease'.  For this reason it is important to attune yourself to these subtle energy centres prior to carrying out any psychic work.  You will also need to be familiar with the specific area of awareness governed by each chakra and its corresponding part of teh anatomy and associated colours for healing purposes.

How Do They Work?

All of the chakras open front to back, except for th Root Chakra which opens downwards and the Crown chakra wich opens upwards.  The first three chakras are concerned with the psychic abilities which depend upon an emotional rapport with a client (psychometry, auric reading & healing) while the Throat, Third Eye and Crown chakras operate at a higher frequency allowing you to acquire mental abilities such as clairvoyance, clairaudience and communication with discarnate beings, such as your spirit.                                                                                     (How Psychic Are You - Paul Roland)
